Marcky Honored with the 2026 Courage Award
We are proud and deeply moved to share that Marc "Marcky" Joseph Foster has been named the 2026 recipient of the Courage Award by the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame.
The award recognizes Marcky posthumously for the extraordinary courage he showed throughout his fight with ETMR, a rare pediatric brain cancer. He will be honored at the Hall of Fame event at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.
A Fighter Among Fighters
There could be no better place to honor Marcky than among Connecticut's boxing legends. To everyone who knew him, he was Marcky the Fighter. He faced every hard day of treatment with bravery and joy that inspired everyone around him.
His courage is what inspired Marcky's Fighters. Today, the foundation funds critical research for ETMR and other rare pediatric brain and spinal cord cancers, and supports families facing these devastating diagnoses.

Help Us Carry His Courage Forward
All childhood cancers combined receive just 4% of federal cancer research funding. Kids like Marcky are usually diagnosed before age 3, and fewer than half survive a year past diagnosis.
Your gift helps fund better, gentler treatments and supports families going through this right now. Any amount helps, and every gift honors Marcky's legacy.
Donate to Marcky's Fighters
Thank you to the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame for this incredible honor, and to everyone who continues to fight alongside us.
